Water
I have always been drawn to the water. There’s something magical about water, whether a serene pond, the relentless pounding surf against the cragged rocks of the shore or anything in between.
It’s my goal to capture the scene in a way that tells the story or the emotions at the time I first captured the image.
Water evokes memories and feelings like few other elements of the environment. My mind goes back to the first time seeing the ocean with the salt spray in my face, the aroma of fish, the unending wind. Or lazy days drifting along in a canoe down a lazy river near my childhood home. And even the endless hours of hard workouts during my competitive swimming years.
Water has different effects on different people, but it always has a center stage position in all of our lives.
This is an eclectic collection of some of my favorite images of water in whatever form from over the years.
It’s my hope some of these strike a chord for you. I’d love to hear your feedback and your fondest memories of water!
